Welcome to the site of the International Piano Competition 2023 "De Bach Au Jazz - From Bach to Jazz".

Created by the Cultural Association "Nathalie"  (www.association-nathalie.organd after the very successful previous editions - in Paris (2013), in Athens (2018), Online edition (2015 and 2021) – a new edition will be held in 2023 as a combination of Online and partially live (face-to-face) performances in Athens, Greece, once again under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the "Athens Conservatoire" (Odeion Athinon). As previously, the competition will welcome young candidates of all levels and horizons with the aim of promoting all musical styles from J. S. Bach to our day with the explicit objective to help today's young artists to keep the "musical spirit" alive by improving their skills and maintaining their interest and love for all kinds of music.

  • The younger participants, up to age 14 (groups A, B, C and D) and the Duo / Duet competitors, will compete only Online, by submitting their performances in YouTube file format.
  • For older candidates, 15 years or more (groups E, F and G), there will be a preselection round with Online submissions as above, followed by a standard live second round performance at the Athens Conservatoire from 6 – 9 July 2023. A gala performance will be held at the conclusion of this second round.

The Cultural Association "Nathalie", active both in France and abroad, was setup by the internationally renowned pianist Lilia Boyadjieva in memory of her daughter Nathalie, killed at the age of 20 by an irresponsible car driver. We will always remember her tender and cheeky smile, her "joie de vivre" and her love of all music.

The Association "Nathalie" is collaborating in Greece with the Civil Non-Profit Company VONA CNPC.
